Bank Holiday - Watcombe, South Devon

 Yesterday was a Bank Holiday which meant (as the law states) the weather wasn't great!  Still, I hadn't been very well again over the weekend, so it was nice to have a very lazy morning.

After lunch, Mum, Dad, Jiffy and I went to their nearest beach - although as you can see by the pics, it is not for the faint hearted to explore.

The car park was a coach turning area back in Victorian times.  in those days the Victorians would stay in Torquay and take a trip out to see the rock formations, so to be thorough we did both the rocks and the beach!

And so back home - and certainly had an appetite for tea after that.

Then drive back to Bude in time for the firework display - which is an annual event, to finish off a day of fund raising for the Lifeboats (R.N.L.I.) - Bude has an inshore boat stationed here.

Yes, feeling better today - but gave DJ the morning off, as I don't want to push it - I have a holiday coming up.

Those woods are so lovely - even with the track being maintained, they are still very natural, aren't they?

Lovely, lovely. That red clay by the seaside is really something, and I adore seeing rustic photographs of the woodside. That's a great shot of the fireworks! I'm glad you had a good bank holiday & I hope you're feeling better soon.

The red soil of Soth Devon is amazing - although it can stain your clothes!!

Yes, I'm feeling better again - I think the overall peace of the day really helped me re-charge the batteries again.

Ooh very pretty...I met a Jiffy double last night at the club - one of the members brought her dog in as she was travelling back past the village and didn't want to have to go home, drop the dog off and come all the way back, the dog was a little sweetie and sat so quietly for me and one of the other members to take pics of her - i'll post some up when I get them sorted out.
