Lazy Day - Just Walk And A Gossip (Of Course!)

debris4spikeWow, considering it is June, it was very windy this morning. Gave DJ the perfect excuse to glare at everything on his walk back to the yard.
He was again good while I was grooming him and I knew we weren't going far, I didn't have to plait him so that was great.
Toni and her youngest daughter had been out on a local fun-ride over the weekend, so today, Toni rode Junior and led Smudge. We went up to the farm and back here for those who missed the pictures.
It was a lovely ride out - we stopped and said hello to Ros and Cherry, although they weren't riding today as they have the vet coming to check Cherry as part of her sale deal. Ros's daughter was there - don't see her too often as she is in the army - She has actually just returned from her second tour of duty in Iraq.
So, a lazy day ... but good to get to see everyone and enjoy the countryside.
When we got back I had Toni check DJ's saddle and it looks as if I need to use a different one for him in the summer ... he puts on weight, and therefore changes shape. DJ has some older saddles, so she is going to look those out to see if any of them fit - cheeper than a new one!

I think you are only the second other person (other than someone I was at school with) that I have "met" with a 24/6 birthday - Best day of the year!!
