A friend has just emailed this ... sad ... but so true!!

I was having trouble with my computer.

So I called Richard , the 11 year old next door, whose bedroom looks like Mission Control, to come over.

Richard clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.

As he was walking away, I called after him, "So, what was wrong?"

"It was an ID ten T error," he replied.

I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, "An, ID ten T error? What's that ... uh ... in case I need to fix it again?"

Richard grinned ... "Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?"

"No," I replied.

"Write it down," he said, "and I think you'll figure it out."

So I wrote down:

I D 1 0 T .....

I used to like Richard.

I'm right there with her. :-)

My cousin brought his laptop over Monday night, he had some weird problem with it, had been messing with it for
days
. My husband and I looked at it (I was being polite- I didn't have a clue) Crewman4 messed with it for a bit, nada. My son came home a few minutes later and strolled up. He listened to us trying to find a solution for the problem for a couple minutes. Then he asked if he could look at it. He clicked some stuff for a few minutes and fixed it. Open mouthed, we looked at him. He shrugged, grabbed an apple from the counter and left.
