Before I start let me point out to the observant the icon was from the picture I had taken a year ago at the same venue ... and yes, there are pics in this post ... and I hope to get another icon made at some point as well!! 

I have just been reading on some other posts that some people caused problems with the photo shoot with James - I don't know when it happened, but am sad to read that anyone can do that to anyone - especially a great person like James.

 

 

   
Yet again it was another early start - I got to Victoria Coach Station at 8am - and met up with xheartrockx and her friend - we were actually booked on differenet coaches, but all heading to Milton Keynes.

My coach left at 8.30 and got in at about 10.15.  I asked how I could get to the centre and was told it was a 5 minute walk ... 16 minutes later (and more than 16 blisters later ... yes, I had new shoes on!) I arrived.

I went to see if I could get another photo, but was told they were all sold out.  Then I went to see about an autograph - but the queue was huge.  They were working on a virtual queue this year, so I collected my ticket for that.

I didn't have too long to wait for the pictures -  some other people I met yesterday who's names I don't remember (!), musicinmyear  , aa_eve_aa     , hawera   ukchrisp  and  xheartrockx     It was great to see them all and squeeee about the concert - decide which were our favourite songs ... and also to see some of Chris' photos again. 

Then it was time for the photographs ... as I had managed to get mine changed (Thanks Sway) I had 3 tickets ... and again, being colour coded I was one of the first.  As I was queuing I got to meet  cryssiemarsters    for the first time - which was great, because (as I said when I wished her a Happy Birthday) it is all her fault that I discovered LJ!!

Anyway - it was soon my turn to go in for the photoshoot - and, as ever, I completely went brain dead!!  It took me all my time to request that I had different poses - so here are the pics in order ...







He is a lovely man to always give up his time for his fans - as I am now realising, some people take advantage of that - which is just not on.  I get annoyed with myself because I can never actually manage to say anything - so as I then found out that they were releasing a few more photo ops I went and bought another one ... in the hope that I would actually get to say Thank You this time ... I din't manage it !!!!



So great pics of James - and completely silent by me!!

I chatted to some various people while waiting for the pics to come back.  It is amazing that I absolutely hate having my picture taken - and the only pictures that I have ever been happy about are the previous couple that I have had with James - this made me so nervous while I was waiting!

As you can see - they were lovely ... Maybe it is his relaxed vibes that he gives off that means the pics of me are OK!!

Anyway I wandered round the actual Sci Fi bit - and managed not to spend any money - while waiting for the autographs.  When it was my time I did think of lots I could say, but he was really pushed for time and so we spoke for a few seconds while he signed a couple of photographs that I had taken last November.  He was really sweet - and especially considering I have now read about what he had gone through earlier.  He is a true star 

Once I had that my time "with" James was over - I wandered round the shops before heading back to the coach stop.  Due to bus timings etc, I then had a lot of waiting around - before arriving back at my parents at 4am (Sunday morning).

 
I had a truly great 2 days - lovely to see and hear James ( Long rambling write-up of Friday ) 

I just hope that after all his hard work he has done over the last few months he is able to spend some time relaing with his kids before he starts his new projects.

Friday night was a blast ! It's lovely to be able to say hi to people we know online.
Pretty pictures , I really like the second one . James is sweet and so giving I don't think there 's another actor/singer like him.:)

Yes - I love the pose on the second one ... I just wish I could actually speak!!

He is am amazing guy - we are so lucky to have met him ... and thus each other - all part of the joy of being a fan, you meet some nice people.

So there with you. I hate when people snap pictures of me but these, I really like. Especially the ones from Sunday, considering.

Thanks again for the swap and that it turned out the way it did. It was great seeing you again :D Love those pictures. You're one of the few lucky ones that still got different poses, thanks to those stupid screwheads afterwards... :D

Yes - I was lucky with the poses - i am seeing odd snippets about the problems - I am just glad I didn't know about it.

He is such a lovely man - He gives so much to us - How can people think to take advantage.

Still it was great to see him - and to see you again. ... Looking forward to seeing yu pics.

Yeah, it pissed me off pretty much that it happened on both days. I wonder whether this happens to other stars (say John Barrowman), too, or if this is limited to this fandom. It's sad really.

He is such a levely man - just wish I could remember how to speak when I am near him! It is certainly a truly special feel to be in his arms, however briefly!

*cries* I'm so jealous you got to meet him *again* and took some lovely pictures. Sometimes (like these) I hate living in New Zealand cos it's so far away and no one ever comes here.. *sigh*

Thanks - I don't have the memory that some have when reporting as I tend to get lost in "James-fog" ... but overall try to remeber as much as I can - both for those weren't there - but also so that I can remeber in the days to come!

also, I'm curious as to what happened-- how were the fans rude? James is (from all that I've heard) one of the most generous celebrities out there. I hate to think that folks were rude to him...

I didn't know anything about it - and he was as lovely to me on each occasion as ever - but apparantly one of the fan-girls grabbed him and had to be "evicted" ... he came close to walking ... but was able to calm down. She ruined it for a lot of others - as well as James. Hope it doesn't put him off - one bad experience tends to be what we remember.

BUT - he was lovely to me!

Yes, I was lucky to have the pics early so go the different poses. Sad that you couldn't get the group pic that you wanted - Hope you will be able to next time.

He is a lovely man - when I saw him at Cardiff in November you had slightly longer ... and I did manage to say about 2 words!

James Marsters - American actor
