2 Pictures From My Garden!
Tuesday, April 29th, 2008 03:35 pmAs most of you know I am not a keen gardener but I took a couple of pictures in my garden last week so that I could finish off the film in my camera - the ones I took of DJ's life.
But I am posting them to practice making pictures smaller for LJ - so, thank you
beanbeans the coding worked!
In further news (!) I have just got back from feeding the horses as Toni comes home today - it is raining ... so, guess who fell over!!!!! Yes ... me! Well, no injuries and at least it wasn't in front of James; so all good!
In yet more news I heard that today is officially the first day of summer! Yes - on the news that is what was announced, as the first swans have hatched at Abbotsbury Swannery and that apparently means that summer is here ... when I was sprawled in the mud I did disagree.!! For those who don't live in England here is a link to Abbotsbury Swannery

Date: 2008-04-30 04:03 pm (UTC)Swannery? I have never heard that word. I will look it up, but I, personally, I've never seen a swan in NY.

Date: 2008-04-30 04:39 pm (UTC)We have swans in most lakes in England - and all are the property of The Queen ... as kids we are all warned that if we upset them then a swan would break one of our legs ... but no one has ever heard of the injury actually occuring. They are stunning birds - we have a pair in Bude

Date: 2008-05-01 05:31 am (UTC)We've already hit triple digit temperatures here, but today, it was cold! It's supposed to be spring here!
Mute swans? Do they chase people like the ones here do? It sounds like a stealth attack in the making!
