Catching Up ... !

Had another appointment today to have my finger dressed ...  Still no blood and most of the skin is looking good.  The 2 major areas where the infection were are still "yukky" looking - but things are much better.  In myself I feel better as well - some friends said that in myself I was looking better.  So all in all - slow but steady ... and sure!

January 22nd - the anniversary of the death of Queen Victoria ... How about that for an odd fact ... But the youngest of my Grandmothers was born a Victorian by one hour!!  She was originally called Ada Frances and then the news came that The Queen had died - so she had Victoria added as her middle Christian name.  So Happy 107th Birthday Grandma.

My goodness it's been a slow process with your finger, but I'm glad it's healing slowly. Any idea when you'll be able to get back to work/riding?

Yes - it will be 6 weeks tomorrow that I last rode - and 6 weeks on Friday since I injured myself. Still I do keep reminding myself both at the time of the injury and then 2 weeks later with the infection I came close to loosing the finger - so can't complain ... too much!!

I am hoping to start some work next week - business is fairly quiet anyway - but the credit card bill isn't (or the gas bill) ... so I shall have to see - it will basically be a case of working one-handed as much as possible ... The riding - hard to say. The finger will be bandaged for some time ... as I still have no skin in a couple of sections ... what I need is a groom to get DJ ready ... then someone to hypnotise DJ so he behaves himself ...!!!!!

My grandmother was certainly a character!!!! And as she was 93 when she died I got to know her really well.

Yes, EMMH is working hard ... oh is he also meant to be looking after my hand? I'll have to add that to the fun list of jobs
