7 Things MEME

I think I have already done this - my brain has obviously disappeared along with my hand!!  But I got tagged by re_animating so said that I would do it.  

I am not going to tag anyone - so don't panic and I have tried to find 7 really obscure things about me!!

7 Obscure Facts 

1 - One of the few things I am obsessive about is time - I would prefer to be an hour early rather than one minute late.

2 - I love visiting cemeteries - especially Commonwealth War Cemeteries ... but also always take a photograph of every War Memorial I see.

3 - I fell down every single section of staires that my college possessed ... also 15 steps of the Spanish Steps in Rome ... and down the 4 steps off the stage after James signed my autograph in November ... all without any injury at all.  And that is to name but a few of my fantastic falls - all injury free!!

4 - James is the only celeb that I have ever had sign an autograph, let alone be photographed with.

5 - My first love was Scott on Thunderbirds.

6 - I have learnt judo, archery and fencing (in that order) ... and all done both right and left handed!

7 - I think you all know I am colour-blind and that I have 2 silicon clips in my right eye.

I didn't know about the silicon clips - what do they do?

Oh - sorry - as it tends to be my jolke comment thought I wouldn't repeat it!

Anyway - back in 1988 I tore and detached my retina. The clips were placed in the eye to hold the 2 holes together ... but as they were placed in from the outside they are still visibly prominant on the surface of the eye - ask to see them in May!! So no problems really - although one does rub slightly - but they saved the sight in the eye ... although where the retina is "patched" I do have distorted vision in that eye - leading to overall double vision .... and people wonder where I get the name Debris from!!

It was after having the autograph - istepped off the stage, missed the steps ... but kept walking!! So didn't actually fall - just hope James didn't see it - I would like to think he remembered me ... but not for that reason!! aa_eve_aa saw it and said the smile never lefty my face!!

Well if he ever dares to poke of you because of this, remind him of how he broke he broke his finger ;P But those were tricky steps. I'm glad I wasn't wearing my heels by the time.

Yes - I think it was more a case of floasting down the steps rather than falling!!

How do you do the falling down stairs and not getting hurt bit and can you teach me ?

I know when there are lots I have done a judo breakfall - but how I manage when its one or two steps I don't know ... I think in Nov I was floating anyway, which helped!! But I guess this is why I am so annoyed about my hand now ... I have leiterally fallen down 20 steps once, fallen off a horse while galloping ... nothing ... maybe I am just well-padded!

My son took fencing for a couple of years. It's a fascintating sport.

Wow, You've been extremely lucky not to have hurt yourself with all those falls. I'm sure if I ever got an autograph from JM, I would fall even without any steps. :-)

Yes - sounds like the first photo I had taken with him last May ... I don't remember leaving the area - he put his arm round me and ..... Which is really sad, that I can't recall it!

Yes, I enjoyed the fencing - did it for about 10 years till the club folded last year

They were all great sports.
I started judo left-handed but the others I started right-handed.

I am one of those people who write right-handed, but actually work left-handed ... so am just totally confused .... "Had you only just realised that" - I hear you saying!

#3 is wonderful, for more than one reason. The first being that you haven't been hurt. I seem to hurt myself with EVERY fall, even without steps. I probably should practice learning to land!
The second is that you are on your way to being a world champion of step falling!

Hey - World Championships and I haven't been invited to take part - maybe they thought i would win too easily!!

It was the judo that has laterly helped me with the falls - although as a kid I fell top to bottom of our staires a few times and apparantly just kept walking!

I can so agree with number 1. I try to tell my son to practise that one - but alas it never happens.

Well what isn't there to love about Scott?? I still enjoy watching Thunderbirds - and even liked the live-action film that was done about 5 years ago!

Time - my friend Toni is always late - I say that she must live in a different time-zone to me! (Yet when she ran the stables the rides always went out on time ... prooving that she could do it!!)
