This MEME has been on quite a few of my f-list ... so have decided to have a go as well. Hope I get quite a few of you answering :-
I know very little about some of the people on my friends list, while I know some of you relatively well. I read your journals; some of you update regularly and in detail and some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk.
But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself? Any old thing at all, so the next time I see your name I can say, "Ah, there's so-and-so, and they love to..."
I'd love it if as many people as possible who have me friended would do this. Yes, even those of you who comment on my LJ all the time. Then post this in your own journal and see what gems of knowledge appear.

Date: 2007-12-19 09:59 pm (UTC)I'm a mom to a daughter with autism.
I teach Kripalu yoga for a living, and have done since 2002. Before I started teaching yoga, I sold corporate computer networking solution installations and support.
My favorite dessert is creme brulee (or Godiva chocolates), and I love coffee & lattes.
I'm currently writing two novels, and I have several BtVS fanfiction stories still in progress.

Date: 2007-12-20 05:08 pm (UTC)As for Godiva choc - some day I must have some ... it is on "my list"!
Didn't realise you are petite ... Toni is 5ft 1 1/2 ... so can't tease her anymore now!
I knew about the one novel through the challenge - but 2 ... What are they both about ... But, keep the BTVS coming!!

Date: 2007-12-19 10:23 pm (UTC)I hate wrapping gifts. They always look like wrapped with my feet.
I want to be a writer/screenplay writer but never have the time/guts to sit down and do it.
I want to move to Canada if I ever get the chance.
I'm an pretty much obsessive fan (as you might have caught on to, already) but when I'm actually facing said person, I have about two brain cells left that keep the system running.
I spend way to much money going "places" (you know what I mean) than I should and I. Do. Not. Give. A. Damn. what people think about it.
I still haven't looked at my photo ops, either from May or November. I just can't. Those last two brains cells would probably be done for if I did.
Yeah.. that's it.

Date: 2007-12-20 04:55 pm (UTC)Glad to see that you have enough courage just to "go for it" ... It has taken me a long time to get to that point.
What type of play/story?

Date: 2007-12-20 09:57 pm (UTC)That is exactly why I can't look at them. Other people's pictures... no problem. But not my own. It's just too "real". It freaks the hell out of me just thinking about it.
Well... I figured... like the concert... I can't wait for him to do something over here. So I gotta go. What's that? See a man about a horse? Something like that. And just the traveling.. I only have this one life. Why not take my chances ;)
I have some idea for (urban) fantasy stuff. Like vampire novels, that sort of thing.

Date: 2007-12-20 12:50 am (UTC)I am Anne.
I love to laugh. I laugh easily... seriously, I'll laugh at just about anything :-)
I like to help people too, which is probably why I do the work I do. I manage a group home for 5 adults who have some form of Traumatic Brain Injury. The guys are awesome! My staff rock! I love my job :-)
Also I write crappy poetry... in the "bloody awful" sense. That's probably why CBS and I get along so well.

Date: 2007-12-20 04:53 pm (UTC)What a marvellous job - I had guessed some of it - but not all. I am in awe of you - something I couldn't do - and admire people who can
I had guessed about the laughs - maybe thats why I am so glad we are friends

Date: 2007-12-20 04:10 am (UTC)I was an Antie at 6mths old.
I have a degree in Animal Breeding and Genetics as well as Horse Husbandry.
I have never had a professional lesson to ride and just seem to be able to stay on - well most of the time.
I have broken bones in my feet and my nose - all from my horses.

Date: 2007-12-20 04:04 pm (UTC)Glad to hear about the lack of lessons - I have never had a lesson on how to play clarinet - so I know it can be done ... Horses are another matter ... and riding with my instructor at least twice a week means the lessons still continue (but I do need them .... Lesson number 1 ... Don't grab a rope!!)

Date: 2007-12-20 10:37 am (UTC)I’m a very positive person I think there’ s always something to do to make others happy , or happier.
I ‘m absolutely fond of desserts and my favourite one is the St Honoré (a pâte brisée base with individual 'choux' filled with pastry cream and dipped in caramel.)
I enjoy very different kinds of music , from Bach to Muse or The Rolling Stones, french singers and James.
I taught French for several years in college but became a stay-at-home mom to take care of my children. I always loved writing and am currently struggling to finish my second novel.
I'm addicted to livejournal.:) You know how I feel about Spuffy and James.
I also truly believe that love conquers all.

Date: 2007-12-20 04:01 pm (UTC)Hadn't realised that you had written a novel - what about? Is it published?
Yes - Somhow I know what you feel about Spuffy ... and LJ.
Love conquers all ... yes, I agree - Maybe that is where our positive attitudes come from.

Date: 2007-12-20 08:13 pm (UTC)Mind you - I am a sucker for a happy ending. However a sad ending shows much more depth of writing ... and personality.
Maybe 2008 will be the year to get back to it
