1)   I tend to be really dis-organised in RL .... About the only thing that gets sorted each day is LJ!!
2)   I hate walking into a crowded room - even a place that I know like my Church.
3)   As some of you already will know - I have 2 silicon implants in my body .... in my right eye to be specific!
4)   I am absolutley useless at spelling - at least with spell checkers it doesn'tnotice tooooooo much!
5)   I am a hoarder - but not of any specific collection, although have quite a few giraffes.  But I don't ever throw things away ... in fct most people would say it is a good thing tha I am single - I don't have space for someone else!
6)   I only started riding when I wasin my mid 30's.
7)   I am a Christian and start each day with a Bible reading - I am reading the Bible through in chronological order this year.

As to the silicon - back in 1988 I tore my retina - for no known reason ... this is one of the many reasons I have the nick-name Debris .... weird things happen to me (when I'm not being accident prone!) .... Anyway to repair the tear it had to be clipped in 2 places - so there are 2 visible lumps on my eye!

I used to be great at spelling until I became dependent on spell-check! Now I actually have a dictionary on my desk as a spelling reference. Hmm... perhaps I shouldn't have confessed that.

Maybe I should use both! My brother is annoyed when I say a spell-checker as he says it is a word reognition "thingy" (no he has a proper word that I can't remember!

Oh I always feel the same way. But I hide it well, I think, and try to find people to chat with.

I only started riding when I was in my mid 30's.

See, now I never would have known. The way you talk so knowledgeably about DJ and the other horses, one would think you've been around them your whole life :-)

I was really lucky with the riding. I ahd done a few pony treks at a local stables over the space of about a year and then I met Toni - she was a patient. She was talking horses - and I made the silly mistake of asking if a nervous adult could ever learn to ride - she made the even sillier mistake of saying yes!!

About 6 months later the woman who worked with her left suddenly and she persuaded her boss to let me help with the exercising as it was winter. So she slowly taught me stable management as well.

When Mum bought Jaykub for me (as he was due to be sold from the stables) I started working at the yard - as a rear-escort rider ... and this slowly increased, as just after Jaykub died, Toni's hubby hada heart attack. Then a year later Toni broke her leg. So it has been great to learn all aspects of horses in a local yard, from your best friend.
