A Normal Day

That's a scary thought - do the words DJ and normal go together?

I went riding today with Ros and Cherry as Toni was sadly trying to get her thoughts together to attend 2 funerals in the next 2 days.

DJ was great - once I could get him past the puddle at the edge of the drive!  We went down as far as the Church and back - which is actually about 5 miles - but mostly just walking (although DJ tends to jog to keep up with Cherry's longer legs).  Ros is sure that Cherry is going to foal soon - but she is still keen on the ride, so no problems there.

It was a lovely hot day - which meant lots of flies - and lots of tourists roaming around; however it was a fun time.

hmm being new to your journal...I guess I can safely assume that DJ is a horse...course the icon sort of gives it away ;)

Yes - DJ is an 8 year old Connemara Pony who is also my namesake. he is mine on permenabt loan - and has been since I lost my first horse Jaykub 4 years ago. He belongs to, and lives on, Toni's land ... you will read about her in my scribbles!

Thank you - it is her Grandfatther's funeral today - and she is to be one of the bearers .... which will make it hard - but is such an honour for her.

Sorry to hear that. There seems to be too much talk of funerals this year.

OMB! Over the years, I had totally forgotten about equine puddle fear - hahaha! A lake, not a problem, but a puddle - EEK! hehee!

Well you have obviously forgotten that puddles are a favourite place for aliens to live ... especially the invisible aliens ... but the problem I find is that they only seem to be in about a tenth of the puddles - and I find it hard to work out where they are ... DJ is an expert at finding them, so at least that is good news!!!!

Oh mi gosh! Do you mean to tell me that all of this time my cowardly steed has been smarter than I?!
And to think I had been looking up at the sky for signs of alien life!

Yes - it is sad how much we under-estimate the intellegence of our animals!!
