What A Busy Morning!
Tuesday, June 19th, 2007 06:49 pmNo rain - just a bit of wind.
So really DJ should have been a good boy - and as it wasn't hot I didn't plait him - so he had everything going for him! We went out with Toni, who was riding Junior and leading Badger - and just down the road met Ros and Cherry returning from an early ride. So a social start ...
The trouble was the social things kept on -
Roadworks - with lorries that had flashing lights!
A man walked out of a telephone box (no not Dr Who!).
A man sweeping the middle of the road - for some unknown reason ... no houses, cars nearby!
Lots of puddles from the rain - well you can never tell which one does have an alien living in them (does that mean Cap'n Jack ... and James can come for a visit to investigate if DJ finds something?)
A man having a stroll - but he was wearing a fleece with a picture of a setting sun and a wolf on it - and as he was on our side of the road I think DJ thought it might be some huge target!
A herd of cattle being moved up the road ... I think DJ hoped that we were going to approach this "John Wayne" style - so was upset when we went back to a long gateway and through into someones drive to avoid them!
And finally a huge container lorry ... on a quiet rural street it must have taken a wrong turn!
So - as you can see a very busy morning for the resident lazy-bones! So I think he was looking forward to going and telling the others all about his adventures!
