Sorry - I know that half of England ground to a halt - but DJ and I ... and Toni and Smudge had great fun this morning.

We went out to the valley that we had been through a few times, however instaed to sticking to the track we spent an hour going through the trees, up hills, down banks, through the stream - and generally "playing".  As we were in a valley - and in trees we were sheltered from the cold wind - so it was lovely!

Coming back wasn't so fun as we were overtaken by a van with a huge dog in the back which barked nastily - spooking the horses to bolt.  Sadly the driver kept coming - so it took some time to settle the 2 boys - so sad - and especiall;y on a day when 2 1/2 hours were amazing - to have it upset by 5 minutes.  Still - I am going to focus on the rest - and just say -

It was a really amazing ride .. Thanks Toni for taking me there (and for teaching me to ride in the first place) - and thanks DJ for letting me have fun today - Hope you did as well!

Shame about the ignorant person who spoilt a small part of your ride.
But as you say the rest was fantastic and thats all that matters.

*Wonders what my boys would think about snow*

Just wish I could work out how to show you

It's easy - you need a photobucket account (or similar) or you can use LJ Scrapbook with a paid account. Upload your photo to photobucket (which is ever so easy, just like adding a userpic to your LJ account).

To then get that pic on your LJ, go to Post an Entry, make sure you are in the Rich Text entry window, and click on the 'insert/edit Image' icon. Copy the URL of your pick from photobucket and then paste it into the URL box in the Image Properties box that popped up when you clicked on the 'insert/edit Image' button. Click on OK and your pic should appear.

Give it a try :D

Do you mean the bit that said 'My Teddy Bear Frame'? That was there because I put the pic behind an LJ cut. The second pic of the flowers should just have been on the screen straight away, as I didn't put it behind the cut.

The only reason I usually put pics behind a cut is that if there are lots of them and/or they are big they take up a lot of someone's flist and if you're on dial up it can take forever to load. If it's only one pic I wouldn't bother with the cut.

Sounds like an idylic ride - shame about the van driver though.
