Just A Reminder

Hi

Someone commented on my recent icon post that it was nice to see me here.

Sorry but I don’t like the layouts etc over here, and as I had already paid for my account over on LJ I still use that. However as I now post most days that is busy. But for those of you who are only here please do note that every Saturday I send over the posts I have done … so if you go onto my username you will see all the posts there.

Recently I have had a holiday following WWI history, have had some work done in the garden … and put flags up for the jubilee.

So that will give you some idea of what there is to see.

Enjoy!

I should have been more aware of what today's date is as I think some of the patients were definately employed by the ancient Romans ... what a tough clinic!

Anyway, all been & gone ... so that's the main thing.

And on a positive note, we are still here on LJ (at present) ... so now, before I get on with other things, I will meme ...

15. Do you have a Pavlovian response to anything?
One of the men in the clinic today was super, super, rude ... that really makes my anger flare rapidly (yes, I count to 10, but it always feels the same).
I can also spot a bar of Cadbury's chocolate even if it's in another room!

Well I am going to make a couple of icons, and then have some ironing to do.

Hope you are all having a good day

Great, we are still here ... although I have been sensible and exported my journal to DW as I would hate to lose the last few years if things don't work out ... I also decided to back up my icons (and fiction) in the same way.  I know all my fiction is on AO3, but still wanted to complete things.  However, in the early days of icon making I kept my icons as I was so stunned I had made them, but recently I haven't done that ... but realised I didn't want to lose the work, so at least this way it is kept .... you never know, in generations to come, people might be so stunned with the beauty and complexity of them all when they discover all these "outdated" internet sites !!!!!!!

This morning I had a walk, and took some photos to do a prompt over at photo_scavenger ... the prompt was peace, so thought it was appropriate at present.  I also spotted a few sparks of colour ... so, here goes -

Now, as it's Saturday I am soon going to close down the pc, and will rejoin you (I hope here) on Monday ... but ...

12. How do you think travelling to a lot of different countries changes a person?
Well, I don't know - I have travelled a lot, am I changed???
Actually I think it depends on the person. I have met people when I am abroard who never even leave the hotel, so no, I don't think they are changed.
I don't go into "poor" areas ... but love studying the history etc

13. How can technology improve education? Can it hurt education?
Yes, you can find more, and quicker.
However I do wonder how many people do a "cut & paste" as I do when I post things here ... so, maybe reading a book and making notes (as I studied) does improve your knowledge.

On a further note - I am a Royalist, but I am sad to say if Prince Harry walked up the road I would go and slap him, hard. He is not coming over for Prince Philip's Memorial Service, despite the fact The Queen is now not in the best of health ... sorry, just had to rant a bit.

See you Monday x

Just brought over my latest LJ post ....

LJ has been home to me for many years ...and rumour has it that Russian internet will be stopped .... I do hope not as this is where I am happy.  DW is not somewhere that I feel happy with, it just doesn't feel as set up for me, sadly.  So, I wait & see.

The Ukraine has been hardshly treated by Russia, but there again so have many of the regular Russian residents ... sadly always the way that one or two people make decisions for so many people.  And it is the "everyday" people that are the ones who suffer.

Anyway - I have always said I "don't do" politics ... and maybe this is part of the reason.

Now it's Friday and yes, it was a weird clinic ... quite good to earn an extra 45mins of pay as it over-ran as it looks like overall there are going to be less clinics availab;le.  Being Bank I can work anywhere in the hospital ... but I like these clinics, and the hours really suit me, especially as I still stuggle with tiredness.

Yesterday I didn't turn on the computer, so have a couple of days to catch up on -

10. What is the most useful app on your phone?
I only use 4 - WhatsApp, Instagram (occasionally), Messages and Scrabble

11. March 11 is "Worship of Tools Day". What is your favourite tool?
Ummm - great question, but I haven't a clue!

Oh well - hopefully will see you tomorrow, but we shall see.

Just to say that I am sticking with Livejournal, but I know some of my f-list are moving, so if you still want to keep in touch are are not going to cross-post, can you please add me, or PM me and I will try to keep up to date with you.

LJ has had a couple of panics while I have been with it, and people have taken out other acconts, yet we have all survived.  So I plan to wait this one out, as well.
