Well, I Told You There Were Some Odd-Balls Out There ...

... and yesterday certainly showed that.  I ended up spending almost 1/2 hour walking around a car-park (at least it was sunny) with a very dissorientated lady who couldn't remember where she had parked her car ... couldn't remember the make, registration, etc.  She assured me that we were in the correct area (which was glad as there are 7 car-parks).  Her major comment was that it was near a tree ... I did point out how many trees were in the car-parks.   But in the end we found the car.  My worry was how she would be when driving, but she seemed easier once she had the car back.  I did tell the porters near where I work what I was doing, and what happened when they returned, and found I had an easy time, as one of them had done similar only for the person to realise that they had come in on the bus!

Still it does mean that life is interesting.

Now I am off this morning, so am trying to catch up here, as well as hopefully post a few photos from Istanbul, but will see how time gets away from me.

13. Are there any songs that always bring a tear to your eye?
There are a few songs, and a few hymns that ctch me. But nothing that always has the same reaction, mostly just the reaction at the time.

I have genuine nightmares about wandering around a carpark for hours looking for my car.

A shame she didn't have one with a 'point and press' key as you could have stopped at the end of each row, pointed, pressed, and waited to see if one reacted. And I can just imagine that poor porter spending hours with someone before they remembered that they came on the bus!

I did try that but as it's a "scenic" car-park, so none of the paths are straight, so you have to be almost next to your car for it to work!!

I have gotten confused about where I parked my car on more than one occasion. This isn't much of a problem in Durango, where the parking lots are much smaller than around malls in New York City area.

I know what you mean, if I park in a multi-story carpark I spend my time chanting what floor I am on!!
