Catch-Up Time!
Tuesday, February 11th, 2025 10:36 amNo matter the amount of layers I wear when I am working on the reception desk in the entrance I still seem to get cold. So Friday & yesterday I came home after a few hours there, resembling an iceberg. And it seemed to take ages to thaw out ... I can understand how the Titanic felt!
Over the weekend, even though I went for a walk, went to Church, etc I didn't get that chilled feeling. So, yes, it's just the location of where I work. Despite it, though, I still love the job.
This morning I have already got washing airing over my staires, and have been out. I had it on my calender in my kitchen that I had blood tests (to check everything settled after my illmness over Nov/Dec) ... but when I got to the GP it was to find that the appointment is tomorrow. I said I was surprised I hadn't had a text reminder at the end of last week, and checked my phone number. That makes me smile as I had my first phone back in the late 90's ... and have only ever had the one phone number. Anyway, the receptionist decided there must be a glitch on their system.
I then walked and picked up a bottle of milk and as I walked in the house I got a text to say that I had a blood test tomorrow!
I want to get some cleaning done today ... so have lots of "exciting" plans for the day!
I want to try and make some icons, as well as catch up with all your news. Before that -
7. The Portland Vase, thought to date to the 1st century BC was shattered into more than 80 pieces by a drunken visitor to the British Museum in 1845 (oops!). What was the last thing you accidentally dropped?
I am accident prone!
The last thing I broke was a glass, that I was paking away in the cupboard .... it's amazing how many pieces, and how far, they travelled.
8. Have you ever been sailing?
No - but I am not great on boats, so never tried
9. What’s the last film you saw (on TV/streaming/at the cinema)?
TV - Clueless was on over the weekend, and enjoyed a re-watch
DVD - Operation Petticoat (with Cary Grant)
Cinema - Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker ... I just never go to the cinema
10. It’s World Pulses Day – do you have a favourite way to eat pulses such as beans, peas, lentils etc?
I like fresh garden peas, either raw, or quick boiled in mint flavoured water
11. What was your very first job (perhaps when you were still in school?).
The Christmas I was 16 I did a week working as a postman. They used to take on students for the week pre-Christmas.
I haven't taken the A to Z photo as I can't decide what image to take, so will do that at some point and post it tomorrow.
Catch up soon
