Well it's a weekend again.

I should be at a 2nd birthday party, but seeing as I flared up the cracked rib by twisting on Thursday and I am trying to protect my wrist as much as possible I dropped Lily's pressie off yesterday .. a slow walk into the hospital was nice in the fresh air.

I will admit that at the moment I am going to drop the daily photos until I am back moving around fully again ... so sorry about that, but am trying to be a good girl (that's a shock!!)

But I will post the last 2 sets of photos from Egypt, providing you are not too bored by my travels ... and will catch up with the missing questions -

3. International Children's Book Day - do you have fond memories of a particular book you read as a child?
I loved the Ladybird books ... my favourite was "The Elves & The Shoemaker".
Loved Enid Blyton ... especially The Mallory Towers series
I also loved Mum's Uncle Oojah annuals

4. It's all about walking today - do you often walk either for leisure or to get from one place to another rather than taking a car/public transport/bike? Do you live in an area with trails where you can go walking?

I do love walking ... in fact often meet up with a friend from work for a walk.
In normal days I walk into the city, rather than drive or use a bus

5. Is it raining? When was the last time you had rain in your area. Is there a lack of rain that's causing concern?
Yes, it is
Hee - too much rain is the problem at the moment

6. Clas Thunberg, a Finnish speed skater known for winning five Olympic gold medals was born today in 1893. Can you skate?

No ... although both Mum & Dad could (tried as a kid & a teen)

7. William Wordsworth was born in 1770 and is probably best known for his poem "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud" which mentions "A host, of golden daffodils'. Are there daffodils flowering where you live (were they early, or are they late)?

They are just about over her ... I do love them.

Right, I want to catch up with you all x

I realised that I had missed a couple of temples ... and then this set will finish with a final few from the last day of my holiday (another set to come, and then I'm done!)

About 2/3 of the way on our trip up the Nile, we had to go through the Esna Lock. It's a queue, that seems chaotic, but obviously done on every trip -

One of the Temples we went to was that of Kom Ombo dedicated to Sobek. We actually arrived after sunset, so that was fascinating. We also saw the Museum next door ... that contained 300 crocodile mummies ...

We also had an early start to see < href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_of_Edfu">The Temple of Edfu ... which is surprisingly intact ... the roof is in place. We had a "taxi" there and back ...

it was at Edfu we learnt to count -

The top row, far right (after the bird) are ones, and readin towards the left ... the "n" are 10's, the "e" are 100's ... up to the man cheering which is 1,000,000

And so to our last night on the boat  ...
