Yes, the sun is out, and it's wall to wall blue skies. Having had not a great August come term time the weather brightens up. However I think it's only going to be for a few days, which is a pity, especially as I am going away in a couple of days time for a week.

Had a lovely lazy day yesterday - Church was good, and we had one of my favourite hymns, and then back home. I thought about having a bit of a walk, but decided I would be totally lazy. Yes, I am so, so, so much better than I was even a year ago, but this last 6 - 9 months has been busy so I am taking me time. I also realise that I am thankful that I have less shifts this week (only 2), and less when I return from Belfast.

I had a lazy start, as I didn't set my alarm ... and that sort of shows that I am overall tired. I have had a short walk, and now here, before getting an early-ish lunch and into work. I am training the lady who is starting the full time shifts ... and as I haven't met her, yet, I will let you know how I get on when I post tomorrow.

I have my photos to share, so that will be a separate post, but before I do that

4 – Mouthguard Day: Have you ever had to wear a mouthguard, either because you practised a certain sport, or as protection because you tend to grind your teeth at night, or for some other reason?</i? Yes I wear a mouthguard at night as I grind my teeth. I have for about 8 years … in fact on year#1 I actually managed to completely bite through one! My present one is about 5 years old, so presumably I am getting better. Right let's sort photos, and then head off for the rest of the day, after checking up on what you are doing x

As I said we went to the timiest musem in the world.  It was all about the fire - on Sunday 14 August 1743, a great fire started (it is believed to be from a fire where they were cooking meat, and the people watching it got distracted) and it completely destroying High Street and buildings in the "West Town". At that period of time it was the second largest fire in the country, second only to the Great Fire of London. Sixteen people lost their lives, with over 2,000 made homeless and 450 houses destroyed. Other large fires occurred in 1766, 1769 and 1772

In those days each house had to take out fire insurance, for the fire engines to come out.  Here is one of the markers -
