Lovely Lunch

... Yes, I have just had a lovely lunch with Toni & Pete.  I treated them, as next week it is Pete's birthday (he will be 75).  Toni & I laughed a lot about our horse-riding days and our other "fun adventures" ... like transporting a goose in a packed car!!  It was great to see her, even better to have a laugh.  Pete is having tests tomorrow, as it turns out (the call came though while we were eating) at the hospital so I shall be able to see Toni again tomorrow.   he has a small lump on his back, so hopefully it will "just" be a lipoma ... but, better safe than sorry. I had aimed to go to Jiffy's grave as it would have been his 16th birthday ... so I shall have to owe him a visit!

Now I must get on and get the photos done ... and posted.  What a slow-coach I am being.

So I had better get on ....

18. What’s the best way to start the day?
I start every day the same ... so is certainly best (for me) -
A pint of water
Breakfast (cereal if I am at home), and 2 mugs of tea
Bible reading/prayer time

Right, photos, here I come x

One of the towns we visited was Neuve Chapelle and oone of the things we saw there was the Neuve-Chapelle Indian Memorial ... containing names of Indian troops with no known graves, as well as POW's from both wars who had died and been cremated ...

Locally we also saw this ....

It had been a crucifix outside the Church. And, no, it doesn't have one large branch, that's an unexploded German Bomb (although now made safe!!)

We also stopped to see the Portugese memorial -
