Day 11- A song that reminds you of summer

I wondered wbout Beach Boys songs, as they always remid me of the summer, but as I had already used one of their hits I thought again ....
This song was released in 1970, but in the summer of 1973, much of my year were in a school choir. The few who weren't still had their normal games lessons. Now, I went to an incredibly strict scholl, and that summer's games lessons we did Keep Fit to this song ... really radical for those involved! So, join me in my memories of Mungo Jerry singing In The Summertime

My James song is Layabout ... yes nice title for summer days, but he wrote it when he was in Wales in a wet summer ... and I was one of those at the concert in July where he first sang it. So, it reminds me of the incredibly wet summer of 2007 ... and there is a picture on the left of that concert.

When I posted a picture of my dreams (as well as over the last few years) people said sweet things ... but the reason I think I will always be single is that this space has to stay blank ... there is no ex-boyfriend to post a picture of ... there is no X

Day 8 — Your favorite internet friend

This is hard to decide, as one or two of my LJ friends are truly special people ... and mean so much to me - more than they probably realise.  However I again don't want to either decide a favourite (I have a few!) ... or post a picture of them.

So, I decided to post a picture of someone that I am now back in contact with due to the "awful" FaceBook!!  Annemarie is 3 years younger than me, her brother, Stefan, is 1/2 way between the 2 of us - and we have known each other for ever.

Her parents were missionaries, and used to come to us when they were on furlough.  When she married in 1989, I (and M&D) travelled out to Michigan, and I was her maid-of-honour.  She had spent 6 months living with us a couple of years prior and we were great friends.

I last saw her when I was in Colorado in 1994, and slowly we lost touch ... she is still married, but has had some tough year - now we are back in touch, and I hope to regain the closeness we had.  Maybe we will meet again - but as she lives in Idaho, I do doubt it, unless she gets over here.

The 5 Question Meme - Again!

As most of you know I scribble quite a bit from time to time ... and am pretty open.  I usually offer to do the 5 question meme thingy, and in the past have been asked some slightly obscure questions.

However I have offered to do it again and this time it is one of my newer friends who has asked the questions.  hell0kittyangel has asked :-
1) what is your testimony?
2) are you married/do you have children?
3) what is your occupation?
4) how long have you been playing clarinet?
5) what other musical instruments do you play?

Most of you will probably know, or guessed the answers, but I thought I would still answer them here, as they do cover some real basics that you may have always wanted to ask, but thought they were to well known by others!
