Another of those hard decisions!

Today I thought I would share a piece of music with you - part of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition

This video is of the firdt 2 pictures. It starts with the main Promenade, then the next piece is The Gnome, then another Promenade and at about 5.40 min The Old Castle, which is the bit I am sharing!

We are playing this in March, not Peter and the Wolf - and, like on this track, I will be playing the solo bit on my saxophone. The rest of the concert will be on my clarinet, as normal.

Mmmm - I must practice!!

You have 2 instruments to play! Are there many practices?

It is great - if you know what the names of the pictures are ... increases the enjoyment.

We have rehearsals every Monday evening - and I try to practice a couple of times a week as well. Mostly it is just the claribet - so I have the fun of keeping both going at present!

Get practicing, Deb! heehee! I have decided I love this meme. Even though the questions are fairly simple ones, it's fun to see people's other interests emerge forth from it, interests that I normally don't read much about!

It is good - and a challnge for me, as well. You get so used to "what you like" that it's fun to actually have to think the "whys"
