Busy Days Ahead!

I worked for a few hours yesterday, but ahead of me are 2 weeks work ... in week 2 I actually have 3 eleven hour days. I had hoped to have the Sundays off, as I don't really like working Sundays (and never did until I started work for the NHS), but it seems everyone is using up all their holiday allowances for the financial year. As I work on a zero hours contract I never have that problem, but it seems eveyone is "off".
It doesn't help because my one day off is going to be a lovely but very long day - Tim & Claire are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary with a very big party. So, no I am not working that day! It will be really great as all the family will be there - so good to see everyone together for a happy reason.
So I hope to be here when I can, but it might be a bit sporadic this coming week ... and then non-existent the following week.
My bank balance is happier with me, but my brain is already feeling scrambled!
So, I need to get some icons made while I have some time ... and catch up with all your news from the last couple of days. But, until then -
12. Do you save all the spare buttons that you often find on shirts and other garments (have you a specific place where you keep them)? Have you any clothes with fancy buttons?
I don't - but there again I have a very, very large tin of buttons that Mum, and Grandma collected. So if I ever need any, I should be OK!
13. Do you wear slippers around your home?
In the winter, yes.
In the summer I wear flip-flops.
Sadly I can't really walk bare foot as I have to have a heal lift under my left heal ... when I was run over at 21 I damaged my pelvis, and this helps the balance. 40 years on, it's still frustrating to not actually walk bare foot other than as far as the loo and back!
Right - I must get on x
